Group Therapy: who's who, what's what and so on

Group Therapy is a cover band based in the east valley of Phoenix, Arizona. The goal is to be the soundtrack for the party wherever they go, bringing fun, upbeat danceable rock n' roll to any bar/nightclub, casino, corporate function, opening act, private party or public event. No gloom and doom, dark' extremely heavy or depressing vibe. This is rock n' roll the way it was meant to be: fun, upbeat and the soundtrack to many good times!

Group Therapy consists of four friends that love to play music. Stephen Christian (lead vocals), Alexis Lex Hernandez (guitar/vocals), Michael Parker (bass/vocals) and Brian Kennedy (drums/vocals) joined forces with a common goal: to play upbeat fun, danceable rock n' roll, have a good time doing it and make new  friends. Not content with playing just any old songs, Group Therapy are constantly striving to find tunes to connect with that haven't been played by every band in town yet are still well known to audiences.

Stephen Christian has been playing the Phoenix circuit since 2002 and has performed as vocalist for The Cradle Robbers, SoakNWet Juliette (Lake Havasu based band), filled in as vocalist for Strangeland, Phat Bastard and 68 Guns as well as playing drums with 68 Guns, Generation Landslide as well as fill in gigs on drums for 68 Guns, Vintage Rocket and Blue Tattoo. Stephen also sang at a convention with KISS, performed on the WB television program 'Uncovered' and released an album of self produced original material.

Alexis Lex Hernandez is our current guitarist who also contributes harmony vocals  Alexis has just released his new production; Sons of Polaris: Evil Vol.1.  He has also received formal vocal training from Maestro Thomas Collette in Phoenix. He is furthering his passion for teaching by working at the School of Rock in Scottsdale, AZ and is currently working on his third album.

Michael Parker holds down the bottom end on bass and contributes backing vocals. He played rhythm guitar in Group Therapy in 2004 and previously played guitar with Phoenix based band 'The Kind' (later to become Twenty 20 Faith) while recording 2 CD's of original music. The Kind played state wide and opening for national recording artists Goldfinger. He also currently plays with Arizona based Motley Crue tribute band 'The Crue'.

Brian Kennedy lays down a solid beat with chops to match while contributing harmony vocals. Although possessing the full capability to be a lead vocalist with his soulful bluesy overtones, Brian prefers to make his contributions to the rhythm section and provide his valuable vocal skills with harmonies and the occasional lead vocal trade off with Stephen.
